All-Angle Polarization-Insensitive Infrared Absorbers for Detectors and Energy Harvesting

Abstract
We demonstrate an angular and polarization insensitive device for the absorption of infrared radiation. These nano-antenna designs can be used in efficient detector and energy harvesting applications. The metal - absorbing dielectric - metal architecture lends itself to simple fabrication and integration with other device processes. We will show our design methodology and numerical and experimental results of fabricated structures.
